Poor Mr. Lead, he just submitted his family’s personal and confidential information to a website that promised health insurance quotes without reading the fine print. He is now getting telephone calls from all sorts of telemarketers trying to help him with his health insurance needs. The problem is that he doesn’t know who is calling him. He has received over ten calls the first day, and over twelve calls the second day. He has become Mr. Lead. He doesn’t know which companies are calling, where they are calling from, if they are licensed and compliant, and whether they are even ethical.

It is not a good position to be in, but Mr. Lead earned it. He did not check thoroughly through the website that he chose to submit his information to with respect to his family’s health insurance needs. He did not know that the website was basically a front and operated strictly as a lead aggregator that sells information to anyone who will buy it!
