Protect your bike against theft

If you are into bikes, you know that things are a bit different from the average motorist who is driving a car. For example, when you’re on the road you have got a small disadvantage in that you don’t have metal and bumpers shielding you from high-risk drivers. Also you’re also aware that it is easier for somebody to make off with your motorcycle. The straightforward answer that right away comes to mind is to get motorcycle insurance, but for bike owners getting a sound motorbike insurance policy is merely the 1st measure in protecting your motorcycle and your wallet.

To help save you from losing your motorcycle and having to telephone your motorbike insurance agent (and have your rates hastily go up as you are deemed to be more of a dangerous risk); it is always a great aim to implement some of your own safety measures. First on your list should be a good quality theft deterrent system; the noisier the better. At the very least, this will bring loads of attention to a would-be crook while he attempts to get your motorcycle started. (more…)
